Take two: The Golden Age, Joan London

I learned of this 2014 novel when, on 4 December 2019, I read an interview with Anthony Macris on the WritersNSW website. I subsequently, on 4 June this year, bought the book on Kindle. In the photo above I’m standing in my bedroom – which is also my study. A photograph of my grandmother as a child is partly visible at the right-hand side, in the top corner. She would have been older than Frank’s parents, if they’d been real. At the centre, behind my head, is a painting by Neridah Stockley, ‘Tom Price dusty sunset’.
