Grocery shopping list for March 2021

This post is the twenty-seventh in a series and the sixth to chronicle diets. 

1 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 95.3kg. Later, went to Coles and bought (see receipt below) porterhouse steak, rump steak, bacon, pork spare ribs, sardines, scallops, salmon fillets, smoked cod fillets, avocadoes, nectarines, plums, strawberries, rocket, baby spinach, milk, ginger, garlic, baby lettuce, spring onions, basmati rice, and low-carb snacks.


3 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 94.8kg. Later, went to IGA and bought (see receipt below) thousand island dressing, mayonnaise, walnuts, dishwashing liquid, canola oil, mushrooms, a lettuce, avocadoes, low-carb snacks, and eggs.


In the evening drove to Mascot and went to the IGA to buy (see receipt below) sliced turkey, sandwich wraps, jam, honey, watermelon, hummus, chocolates, porridge, and tartare sauce.


4 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 94.6kg. Later, went to Coles and bought (see receipt below) baby spinach, rocket, sliced ham, bacon, sliced turkey, pastrami, Edam cheese, and low-carb bread. The skewers were art supplies for my housemate, Ming.


7 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 94.2kg. Later, went to Harris Farm Markets at Kings Cross and bought (see receipt below) meatballs, smoked trout, red cheddar cheese, brie, ravioli, pappardelle, egg noodles, corn chips, kimchi, milk, eggs, pesto, tofu, longans, jujubes, chillies, coriander, plums, and kiwi berries.

That week I consumed an average of 37.7g of carbs per day.

8 March

Was in Wolli Creek and popped in at an Asian grocery store and bought vinegar, sesame oil, and a plastic bucket.

9 March

Went to Coles in Pyrmont and bought low-carb snacks. Also went to Coles in Broadway Shopping Centre and bought blue grenadier fillets, salmon filets, barramundi fillets, eye fillet steak, lamb chops, chicken wings, mayonnaise, an avocado, and Brazil nuts. See receipts below.


12 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 93.6kg. Later, went to the cardiologist and in Newtown at Foodworks bought (see receipt below) an avocado, mushrooms, tomatoes, nectarines, apples, sandwich bags, and garbage bags.


13 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 93.9kg. Later, went to Lakemba and Campsie to do some grocery shopping (see receipts below). Bought orange juice and pink lemonade and some pork ribs at Woolies. Also got with a ton of other stuff at cheap southwest Sydney prices including a kilo of jujubes for $10, garlic shoots, a Chinese cabbage, green beans, red beans, white fungus, dried lotus seeds, peanuts, and noodles.


14 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 93.8kg. Later, popped out to IGA and bought milk.

I consumed an average of 46.6g of carbs per day this week.

16 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 93.1kg. Later, went to Woolies and bought (see receipt below) pork ribs, low-carb snacks, mouthwash, green beans, and brioche.


In the afternoon went to IGA and bought (see receipt below) gouda cheese, hummus, taramosalata, and a lettuce.


20 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 93kg. Later went to the IGA and bought (see receipt below) milk, cheese, eggs, a lettuce, tomatoes, and apples


22 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 92.8kg. Later went to Coles and bought (see receipt below) prawns, lamb cutlets, low-carb bread, marinaded goat’s cheese, duck, cabbage, cucumbers, carrots, oranges, corn, an avocado, pears, baby spinach, and mixed leaf salad.

23 March

Was in Pyrmont and went to Woolies to buy (for the pool) a bottle of bleach. Also got toilet paper. Later, went to a servo for petrol and bought water for the car.

24 March

Was in Pyrmont and went to Woolies and bought (see receipt below) milk, d’Affinois blue cheese, “Rutland red” cheese, and low-carb snacks.


25 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 92.2kg. Later, went to IGA and bought (see receipt below) taramosalata, nashi pears, apples, kiwi fruit, peaches, plums, sandwich bags, and kitchen paper towels.


26 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 91.8kg. Later, went to Coles and bought (see receipt below) eye fillet steak, pork loin fillets, prawns, barramundi fillets, ling fillets, salmon fillets, low-carb snacks, and porridge sachets.


28 March

Morning weigh-in had me at 92kg. Later, went to the Campos website and ordered coffee (see below receipt).

My housemate went to Woolies and bought nectarines, apples, Dettol, broccolini, a hummingbird loaf cake, and mushrooms.

Morning weigh-in had me at 91.6kg. Later, went to the servo for petrol and bought milk.
